NZFW 2013 : Day One

Ok, so I got excited at seeing my name on a chair lol.

First day of New Zealand Fashion Week is done and dusted! I’m exhausted already, fashion is quite tiring and I’m still not sure why lol, but it’s been heaps of fun so far. Bring on day two! Here’s a mini re-cap of the day……

– Favorite shows of the day were Twentyseven Names and Hailwood for their pieces that I could totally see myself wearing. Also, Zambesi, awesome collection and to be the stand out show of they day they opened the back wall so everyone could view backstage while the show was on!

– The Music! Twentyseven Names made Lani lose her mind when Solange “Losing You” came on, also had us singing along to Drake beforehand. Zambesi ended the show with Shona Laing “Glad I’m Not a Kennedy”, classic kiwi music. Coop had my head nodding to Kanye “Black Skinhead”.

– Allpress Coffee, THE BEST.

– People watching (can’t help but stare, sorry not sorry)

Lela Jacobs, this collection had a whole ‘Where the Wild Things’ vibe going on. Live band even!

Hailwood: Can totally see myself in this outfit.

Stunning dress at Hailwood.

More Hailwood

Love this look from Hailwood.

Finished the day with a feast at Kens Yakitori – “3 grilled cheese curry on rice thanks!”

For more coverage and photos of the shows yesterday, head over to Lani Says and for a live feed throughout each day check out Katherine is Awesome!
