Homemade Hello Kitty Chocolate



My mate Lani put me onto an Instagram to follow called Bliss Fully Organic. It’s filled with awesome pics and handy tips for healthy, yummy food! So as I’m on a health buzz due to participating in a fitness challenge I’m always looking for ways to make healthier versions of treats.  I’ve been craving chocolate so I gave Bliss Fully Organic’s chocolate recipe a go. 

Just melt in a pot:
3T coconut oil
3T cacao powder
2T peanut butter (I used Pic’s Peanut Butter with no salt)
Add some chopped nuts or dried fruit (I added dried apricots). I then popped mine into Hello Kitty moulds and chucked them in the freezer, easy as.  They kind of taste like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups!

I tried it on top of my morning oats and it was so delicious, who says you can’t have chocolate for breakfast?

To make oats: Boil 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of mixed berries, then turn down heat and add 1/2 cup of oat bran, stir until thick. You can also add cacao powder or cinnamon. Serve with melted peanut butter on top and almond milk.


Swapped out the peanut butter for Hello Kitty chocolates.
